Organ Transplants

Procedures offered:

All transplants are governed by the Organ Transplant Act, passed to address the needs of patients on the waiting list for transplants, and monitored by the National Coordinating Institute of Ablation and Implants (Instituto Nacional Central Único Coordinador de Ablación e Implantes, or INCUCAI*). INCUCAI, which reports to the Argentine Ministry of Health, promotes, regulates, coordinates and monitors activities related to organ, tissue and cell donations and transplants in Argentina. INCUCAI coordinates with 24 jurisdictional ablation and implant institutions across Argentina to ensure equal access to transplants.

Organ recipients register with INCUCAI* by submitting an authorized application. Massive bone and joint grafting are the only bone transplants under INCUCAI’s authority.

All Meditar’s organ transplant facilities, medical professionals and methods are certified and monitored by INCUCAI.
